Corrections Policy

Spot an Error? Let Us Know

Email hello@builtwest.ca with:

• Episode title and date
• Timestamp of the error
• What was said vs. what’s correct
• A source if you have one

Our Timeline

• Within 48 hours: We acknowledge your correction.
• Within 48–72 hours: We verify it with the guest or sources.
• Within 24 hours of verification: We add a [CORRECTION] note to the show notes on all platforms.
• Within 7 days: If it’s a big error, we announce it in the next episode.

What Gets Corrected

Facts: numbers, dates, quotes, public events.

We do NOT correct: opinions, predictions, disagreements, tone, or requests to remove the episode.

How We Correct

We add a note to the show notes like this:

[CORRECTION] — At 23:45, the guest said X. The correct information is Y. [Source]. We regret the error.

For material corrections, we also say on the next episode: “On last week’s episode, we identified a correction…”

Episodes Stay Published

We don’t remove or re-record episodes. Corrections add context but don’t replace the original audio. This applies to all episodes, no matter how old.
